This schedule could change depending on the child’s needs.
7:00-08:00 —- Arrive, rest, quiet free play, diapering
08:30-08:45 — Breakfast
08:45-09:00 — Diapers
09:30-10:00 — Circle time: Songs/stories (ABC”s, rhyming songs, board books)
10:00-10:30 — Activity time (Art, Sensorial activities)
10:30- 11:00 — Diapers/Free play
11:30-12:00 — Lunch for non-bottle fed infants and toddlers
12:00-12:15 — Lunch clean up and bathroom trips. Brush teeth as appropriate age.
12:15-12:30 — Nap preparation: teachers rub backs, soft music is played.
12:30-02:30 — Nap time for many toddlers; individualized wake-up.
02:30-03:00 — Wake-up.
03:00-03:15 — Snack preparation, brief finger plays or singing at the table for awake
03:15-03:30 — Snack, eating on an individualized or small-group basis when children are ready.
03:30-06:00
Self-directed play in planned learning areas (both indoor and outdoor, as weather permits).
Teachers will have planned supervised activities for individual children and small groups.
This is a very loose schedule to allow staff members to meet the needs of the infants.
Diapering will also be done as needed on an individual basis

10:15-11:00 — Outside play (weather permitting)
11:00-11:15 — Diapering/Restroom
11:15-12:00 — Free play
12:00-12:15 — Lunch, clean up and bathroom trips. Brush teeth as appropriate age.
12:15-12:30 — Nap preparation: rest on cots, teachers rub backs, soft music is played.
12:30-2:30 — Nap time individualized wake-up.
2:30-3:00 — Diapering/Restroom
3:00-3:15 — Snack.
3:15-3:30 — Story time
3:30-4:00 — Music and Movement time
4:00-4:15 — Diapering/Restroom
4:15-6:00 — Free play, Outside play (weather permitting)
6:15-8:45 — Children arrive. Children can work/play in interest centers:
practice writing, dramatic play, blocks, science, reading centers, free play and art activities.
8:45-9:15 — Breakfast.
9:15-9:30 — Restroom.
9:30-9:55 — Circle Time and follow Illinois learning standards.
(Children share experiences, talk about the day, sing songs, listen to stories and reading time.)
9:55-10:15 — Free choice centers
10:15-10:30 — Clean up and bathroom trips.
10:30-11:40 — Outdoor play: gross motor activities. Indoors in inclement weather.
11:40-12:00 — Return inside. Bathroom as needed.
12:00-12:15 — Lavado de las manos.
12:15-12:40 — Lunch family style.
12:40- 1:00 — Bathroom trips and tooth brush.
1:00-3:00 — Naptime
3:00-3:30 — Wake-up. Put cots away, put shoes and socks on. Restroom.
3:30-3:45 — Snack.
3:45-4:00 — Free play (Interest areas)
4:30-5:00 — Music and Movement
5:00-6:00 — Free play, self-directed activities,
pick-up and outdoor play or indoors if inclement weather.
Restroom is always available as needed on an individual basis.
3:15-3:30 — Restroom.
3:30-3:45 — Snack.
3:45-5:00 — Homework (Children will have the time to work on their homework).
5:00-6:00 — Free play, self-directed activities, pick-up and outdoor play or indoors if inclement weather.
